Solidarity with the Communist Party of Great Britain (Marxist-Leninist)!

On 9 April, Ranjeet Brar, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Great Britain (CPGB-ML), was arrested by the British authorities on charges of ‘supporting terrorism’ and ‘inciting racial hatred’, only to be released a few hours later. Although the British police cited violations of the British Terrorism Act and Public Order Act, this was a fascist crackdown by the security forces, carried out by completely distorting criticism of Israeli state policy and Zionism as “anti-Semitism”.

The CARC Party expresses full solidarity with the General Secretary of the CPGB-ML. Repression does not stop the communist movement. We state this with certainty: the comrades of what is today the CARC Party have endured attacks from the very beginning which, over the course of nearly half a century of our history, have never ceased; they soon learnt to turn the repressive attack against the enemy and thus make it a source of strength.

Repression indicates that the revolutionary forces are on the right path, that their blows are hitting their mark and forcing the enemy to react. The socialist revolution proceeds only by provoking a powerful counter-revolution against itself; only by defeating this can the revolutionary forces become capable of founding the new society. Facing repression is the first school.

We stand alongside Comrade Brar and his Party because in Italy the line of the imperialist bourgeoisie is the same as in Britain: increasing repressive measures against ever-wider sections of the popular masses, and an attempt to portray any action against the Zionists as an action against the Jews, and thus to portray any action against the State of Israel as anti-Semitism. Against this common line of action by the class enemy, we are building a common line among the communist organisations of the various countries of the world, a construction whose main pillar is solidarity in the face of repression, the solidarity we express towards you today. At the same time, we hope for the strengthening of our mutual relations and wish you a bright and glorious path to victory.

Solidarietà con il Partito Comunista di Gran Bretagna (Marxista-Leninista)!

Il 9 aprile Ranjeet Brar, Segretario Generale del Partito Comunista della Gran Bretagna (CPGB-ML), è stato arrestato dalle autorità britanniche con l’accusa di “sostegno al terrorismo” e “istigazione all’odio razziale”, per essere successivamente rilasciato poche ore dopo. Pur citando violazioni del Terrorism Act e del Public Order Act britannici, la polizia britannica ha in realtà operato una repressione fascista della sicurezza pubblica, distorcendo le critiche alla politica statale israeliana e al sionismo come “antisemitismo”.

Il Partito dei CARC esprime piena solidarietà al Segretario Generale del CPGB-ML. La repressione non ostacola il movimento comunista. Affermiamo con certezza che i compagni di quello che oggi è il P.CARC hanno subito attacchi fin dall’inizio della loro storia, attacchi che non si sono mai interrotti nel corso di quasi mezzo secolo. Hanno rapidamente appreso a trasformare l’attacco repressivo contro il nemico in un elemento di forza.

La repressione indica che le forze rivoluzionarie sono sulla giusta strada, che i loro colpi sono efficaci e costringono il nemico a reagire. In realtà, la rivoluzione socialista progredisce solo suscitando una potente controrivoluzione, la cui vittoria consente alle forze rivoluzionarie di fondare la nuova società. Affrontare la repressione rappresenta la prima scuola.

Esprimiamo la nostra piena solidarietà al compagno Brar e al suo Partito, riconoscendo che la strategia della borghesia imperialista in Italia rispecchia quella adottata in Gran Bretagna. Tale strategia si caratterizza per un incremento delle misure repressive, che colpiscono fasce sempre più ampie della popolazione, e per il tentativo di equiparare ogni azione contro i sionisti ad un’azione contro gli ebrei, e di conseguenza, ogni azione contro lo Stato di Israele ad un atto di antisemitismo. In risposta a questa comune linea d’azione del nemico di classe, promuoviamo la costruzione di una linea comune tra le organizzazioni comuniste dei diversi paesi del mondo, fondata sulla solidarietà di fronte alla repressione. La nostra solidarietà nei vostri confronti si manifesta concretamente in questa occasione. Contestualmente, auspichiamo il rafforzamento dei rapporti reciproci e vi auguriamo un percorso verso la vittoria luminoso e di grande successo.
